Retro menu design a success for Portland-based restaurant group
Objective:
Create a special, retro menu design to help them in celebrating their 45th anniversary. The Old Spaghetti Factory wanted to extend their celebration to their menus as part of the overall branding and marketing strategy. With 43 locations nationwide, The Old Spaghetti Factory needed to satisfy a wide range of food preferences and slight menu differences for their various locations. Prior to the re-design, The Old Spaghetti Factory’s existing menus were a traditional café style cover with printed inserts.Solution:
Menu Masters designed and executed a “retro” menu that harkens back to the style of the original Old Spaghetti Factory menus and format from when the first restaurant opened in 1969. The black-and-white printed paper menus have been so well-received that Old Spaghetti Factory has continued with the retro design. The design, printing, and fulfillment of multiple menu versions can be a complicated process but Menu Masters is very thorough and diligent in their approach to our menu versions which gives us full confidence in our abilities to execute all of our menu needs at our restaurant locations. From a design perspective we enjoy working with Menu Masters because they are very focused on what our needs are and what our vision is. The team at Menu Masters is always available and makes a point to listen and ask questions so they can fully understand what our design goals are with our menu. Whether it’s Lunch, Happy Hour, or Dinner; working with Menu Masters enables us to create the exact size, layout, and design to best present our products. At The Old Spaghetti Factory we look for ‘partners’ to align ourselves with who operate with a likeminded sense of service and communication, Menu Masters definitely fits these criteria and is a pleasure to partner with.
